Don't approve printing on your books until you watch this video and learn why printer's proofs and proof dummies are a must-have for any indie author or publisher.
Printing books requires a big investment. That is why I never print books unless I have received physical printer's proofs. While I was a children's book editor at Disney and Penguin, I always received proofs from the printer before the actual books were printed. Today, at my independent publishing company, Charge Mommy Books, I will not do business with an offset printer unless I can get a proof dummy, which is an early copy of the book before the full print run. A proof dummy gives the publisher a chance to review what the book will actually look like and catch any issues such as incorrect color, smudges, or poor bleed that need troubleshooting. More importantly, a proof dummy isn't part of the print run. That means errors are caught BEFORE all the books are printed.
