Single-Vehicle Crash Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured in Irwindale

IRWINDALE, Calif., Jan. 13 (KNN) — Irwindale police officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision at the Irwindale Avenue and Ornelas Street intersection around 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Once officers and firefighters arrived on the scene, they located a solo vehicle with major damage and two people trapped inside. Firefighters and paramedics managed to free one person and transport the patient to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
A second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters and paramedics. It is unknown at this time how the crash occurred and if speed or alcohol was a factor.
