Dying Dreams from Corona, CA, a metalcore band formed from 2000, formed as Breakaway before renaming to Dying Dreams. The band featured Mitch Lucker, his brother Cliff Lucker, Josh Tufano, Mike Olheiser, and Brandon Trahan. After the band's break-up in 2003, Mitch would join Suicide Silence, originally as a second vocalist but would eventually take over main vocals. Josh Tufano and Mike Olheiser also played in Suicide Silence for a brief period, whereas Brandon went on to join numerous bands, most notably the local deathcore act, Impending Doom.
