TEDxBITSGoa-Sunil Mukhi-FROM SQUARE ROOT TO LARGE HADRON COLLIDER

Prof. Sunil Mukhi is a Faculty Member at Tata Institue of fundamental research. Expectations were high for this talk during TEDxBITSGoa 2011, especially among physics enthusiasts, and one must say that Prof. Mukhi did tend to bring along a new sense of appreciation, through humour and analogies, for the Beauty and Simplicity of Science as we see it today. Be it the Sarcasm on The Emperors of Medieval India or the 2H/g under the "Square Root" or the 5 second Gravity Experiment... the crowd just adored each and every quip. He spoke about the Latest happenings in the field of Particle Physics, the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider and in the end summarized with the never ending quest for knowledge - "The Eternal Dis-satisfaction" which has been the driving force for Mankind through the Ages.
