About the Talk:
Presentation will include the unique role of a pediatric psychologist in a pediatric hospital including responsibilities, workload, and clinical duties. Consultation liaison services and outpatient pediatric health clinics will be discussed with an emphasis on specific medical conditions, such as diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, hematology/ oncology, and pain conditions. Case studies will also highlight the different interventions and treatment programs for patients and families.
