How Anxious Attachment Shows Up in Relationships

An anxious attachment style will lead someone to obsess and over-analyze every detail of their relationship(s). This comes as a result of the core belief from childhood that everyone will eventually abandon them - so if their partner shows any sign of being upset or agitated, even simply from a headache, the person with the anxious attachment will believe that their partner will leave them and will begin looking for proof that this core belief is true.
