The video was filmed in the Marais de Saint-Gond, in Champagne in the Marne department. This marshland is an alkaline peat bog. This unique natural environment has been under threat since the 1960s, having lost 30% of its area primarily due to agricultural drainage and the decline of grazing. The ongoing risk of wetland drying, exacerbated by the presence of an invasive plant species are all threatening to make this biodiversity hotspot more arid every year.
