!!!WARNING!!!MUST WATCH!!!-NO KILL-SWITCH!!! RUN-AWAY 1:5 SCALE RC TRUCK

Took my 1/5th scale gas-powered RC truck out for a test session, and what started as a routine check quickly turned into a wild runaway adventure. This truck doesn’t have a kill switch installed, and during the test, the throttle linkage came loose, causing the throttle to stick open. Without any way to cut power instantly, the truck kept charging forward at full throttle, with no control.
This was a nerve-wracking moment because gas-powered RC trucks pack serious power, and losing control can lead to dangerous crashes or damage. The throttle linkage failure made it impossible to remotely slow or stop the truck, and I was left scrambling to catch it before it caused trouble.
This experience was a huge reminder of why kill switches and secure throttle linkages are essential safety features for any gas RC vehicle. If you’re building, tuning, or testing gas-powered RC trucks, make sure your throttle linkage is solid and consider installing a kill switch to avoid these kinds of runaway scares.
