Got to test out my redesigned 3D printed A-10. Crazy flight that ended up with a crash landing. CG was to far back and wings flexing like rubber led to a crazy challenging flight but it ended with a crash landing. A stressful period with a lot at work, second baby on its way, limited time made me cut some corners and did not go through a thorough preflight.
Dual 3700mAh batteries made the model slightly heavier, so it ended up at 4,8kg. I think that might be too much for the 8mm carbon tubes in the wings or at least use all of the spar slots (i did not on this one). I am also looking into a 10 or 12 mm carbon tube redesign for the main wing spar.
I also added 3 degrees of upward thrust to the engines on this one, which might have been too much. I will make some inserts with only 1 degree instead.
So learn from my mistakes and always to a thorough preflight, triplecheck CG settings, check expos and surface throws, it might save your plane.
