In sixes you will see the same lineup of classes and weapons for the simple reason that the opportunity cost for switching off the meta is often too much for certain items to bear. Competitive Pokemon had a similar problem and they solved it with a usage based tiering system. Where new metagames would be created with all of the most used Pokemon used in standard play banned in order to give weaker Pokemon a chance to shine. What would this look like in TF2? What new strategies would be used in place of our current ones? Could this potentially lead the way to non meta classes being run full time?
