The Journey: My First Professional Venture into Animation
This project represents a significant milestone in my creative career, marking my first professional foray into the world of vector animation. While I had previously experimented with motion graphics for my college organization, this was the first time I applied those skills to a high-stakes, paid commission. The entire production spanned four weeks of intensive work, balancing the technical learning curve with the demands of a professional delivery.

Technical Workflow & Process
Because the project required a specific aesthetic, I utilized high-quality assets from various online stock repositories. My workflow began in Adobe Illustrator, where I meticulously deconstructed vector files into individual layers and shapes to ensure they were ready for rigging and movement.

The core of the project was built in After Effects, where I handled all the primary motion and character work. To ensure a high-quality handoff between programs, I exported the sequences using the "Animation" codec preset, allowing me to retain the transparency (alpha channels) of the videos.

The final "polish" was conducted in DaVinci Resolve. I chose Resolve for the final compositing phase because of its robust handling of:
Typography: All text animations and titles were refined here.
Cinematography: I applied camera simulation artifacts, including subtle lens distortion and film grain, to give the digital vectors a more organic, cinematic feel.
Transitions: Smooth pacing and scene cuts were finalized to ensure a cohesive narrative flow.

Successfully completing this project in February 2022 remains one of my proudest accomplishments. It was a unique "learn-as-you-earn" opportunity where I was able to master complex software while delivering a product that met professional standards.
