A longish video of some Blue Train coupling taking place at Pretoria station on Monday the 9th of December 2019. On the day this was filmed, adverse weather conditions and cable theft had been causing all sorts of problems all over Pretoria's rail network, so much so that all metro rail services were cancelled for most of the day. The video shows the Blue Train arriving at Pretoria station from Cape town with the coaches having already been turned in Germiston before the train completed its trip. The locomotives are then coupled to the correct end of the train again before diesel locomotives arrive to haul the train back to the Blue Train shed. Unfortunately I wasn't able to film the whole process of the train being shunted back to the shed, the train had arrived several hours late which meant I didn't have much time to film before having to rush to work. Will definitely film more next time.
