Cozy Simple Life, Peaceful New Year: Planner & Gift Reveal with Honest Reflections on America

In today’s vlog, I’m sharing a slow, cozy day in my life from a peaceful morning routine and homemade breakfast to reflections on my childhood, my 20s, and the stage of life I’m in now. This is a relaxed, real-life vlog with calm moments, gratitude, and honest conversation.

I open up about learning responsibility at a young age, growing up with a very disciplined father, and how those lessons shaped me. I also share how grateful I am for where I work now—a peaceful environment where I finally feel safe, supported, and no longer fighting for my life. A thoughtful birthday gift from a coworker truly touched my heart and reminded me how meaningful kindness can be.

This vlog also takes a deeper turn. Even though my personal life feels calm, I’m very aware of what’s happening in the world. I share my thoughts while watching the news and listening to conversations around racism, violence, and discrimination in America. As an Ethiopian and African woman, I reflect on identity, history, and why I listen deeply to Black Americans who have lived and survived this country’s realities and why their strength and leadership matter globally.

We end the day lightly talking about my hair struggles (why I cut it and what went wrong 😅), taking Christmas decorations down, and cooking dinner with my husband. This is a long, honest vlog soft moments mixed with heavy truths, just like real life.
