The musician-therapists of the Vedun Ensemble perform meditative, harmonising sounds using unusual, often forgotten musical instruments and the ancient musical practices of different cultures. Vedun was an ancient Slavic deity who harmonised through word and sound. Contemporary veduns (musician-healers) attune, or harmonise, the world by following this mythical example.

Mirit and Tine are also mediums (cosmic sound-energy surgeons) who use selected sounds of the current moment to transmit Universal life energy into the material world. They work at all levels of body and spirit. Veduns, just like ancient shamans, perform their music in a semi-trance and bestow upon people special sonic gifts for the expansion of consciousness, healing, spiritual growth, for becoming aware and for boundless creativity. When we listen to their harmonising and meditative sounds, we harmonise ourselves and our surroundings. This kind of ‘surgery’ is not limited to formal Veduna surgeries and healing sessions. It is always present at their performances, where the musicians create (channel) spontaneous sound images within the melodies of different cultures, of different musical traditions. With them, they harmonise and heal according to the needs of the audience. The words vedun, vidovina, vedovnjak, which all denote a magus of sound, are still present in the Slavic territories in the 21st century. They denote a person who knows, sees and hears the subtle secrets of the world and who channels the inaudible and invisible into the audible and the visible. The primordial thus reverberates in all its fullness, while the ancient wisdoms of our planetary ancestors are revived, ennobling the sound images and codes, offering inspiration.
