Calculating Crane Net Capacity

Understanding a crane's capacity is necessary for safe crane operations. Part of understanding a crane's capacity is the net capacity calculation. Crane operators seeking operator certification must be able to perform a variety of calculations including net capacity. The concepts of net capacity, line capacity, chart capacity and gross capacity may also show up on BCSP certification exams. The presenter is Dr. Doug Martin. Dr. Martin earned his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University and is a CSP. In addition Dr. Martin worked as a safety manager in the construction industry for 20 years.
