The musical play 'Lady in the Dark', with a book by Moss Hart and lyrics by Ira Gershwin, centres on the treatment of the central character Liza by psychoanalysis, and uses music only in dream sequences. This song 'My Ship' is hinted at throughout the score but is sung in full only in the last scene, when Liza recovers a previously buried memory of singing it with her father in her childhood.
Raksha recieved a distinction in her ABRSM Singing Grade 5 Performance Exam.
