Halloween is coming up in seven weeks, so I figured why wait and share the host segments from one of the greatest Halloween TV specials. Disney's Halloween Treat first aired on October 30, 1982 as an episode of the Walt Disney TV series. It showcased scenes from various animated shorts and films in the Disney library that were spooky themed from The Sword In The Stone, Fantasia, The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, to terror and fear that struck Pluto and Donald Duck, to our favorite Disney villains.
This aired annually every October on The Disney Channel along with it's follow-up A Disney Halloween (only 90 minutes longer). This was also hosted by a talking Jack-O-Lantern (accordingly voiced by Hal Douglas). I am only showcasing the host segments in this video with the talking pumpkin, and I had to cut the theme song because my original upload was blocked and nobody was able to view it. So many apologies for not including the classic theme song that made this special well known to loyal Disney Channel viewers.
