Drank too much wine at this show... (Standup Comedy)

Might've had too much wine at this show 😅🍷

Swapped positions with a comic from out of town (make sure yall show love to out of towners!!! You'd want them to do the same to you!) and ended up closing out the Imperial Wine weekly open mic with a longer set.

Always grateful for the opportunity to go longer and this set definitely shows I need to work in my opinion. Having to balance a set order but also being present enough to flow and interact in the room is definitely a muscle I need to work out more for these longer sets. It's frustrating in these longer sets when I improvise and switch the order around and mess up tags/jokes, and especially ones that I have planned to mention later on. Best example in this set is I didn't do the mustache part of my "Looks" chunk, where I say 10/10 still came, which is supposed to be the big closing joke/callback for the Korean Spa story (which is a hilarious sentence to type out lmfao).

Things like that make the difference and it shows that I'm very clearly not rehearing 5, 7, 10 minute sets. This is especially troublesome when I'm also doing open mics and constantly trying new material or lines. I have to get back to fully writing out my jokes now that I've been crafting them at the open mics for a hot second.

Anyways pardon the ramble, this stuff is just very interesting and my thoughts and also I'm procrastinating going to bed. GLHF!!
