Welcome back to our Cafe Racer build series! In this episode, we're diving into the heart of our 1982 Yamaha XJ750 Seca, focusing on the engine. With the help of my youngest son, we're installing cams, cam caps, and the cam chain. But we're not stopping there! We're also fitting the cam chain adjuster and ensuring the cam timing is spot on.
This is a special episode for me as my youngest son is joining in on the fun again. It's a great opportunity to share my passion for motorcycles with him, and I'm thrilled to have him by my side as we work on this Yamaha XJ750 Cafe Racer build!
We'll guide you through each step of the process, from installing the cams to adjusting the cam chain. Plus, we'll show you how to make sure your cam timing is correct, a crucial aspect of ensuring your engine runs smoothly and efficiently.
