** Apologies for the garbled audio in this video. We didn't find out that it was so quiet until after we had left the West Coast, but we still wanted to share this incredible part of the world with you all!
The Southern West Coast was our next stop on our April 2021 South Island Road Trip after leaving Greymouth. Although in our last video we visited Isthmus Peak in Wanaka, this quick trip into Franz Josef actually took place first chronologically.
We stayed in Franz Joseph for 2 days, and as you can see in this video, had less than ideal weather. Fortunately though, it let up just enough for us to visit both glaciers and still get some pretty awesome views.
The West Coast is one of the most remote sections of Aotearoa, but is also one of the most beautiful! We hope you enjoy this video, and stick with us as we continue heading South in our next video!
