How to define and use the allocation terms in Dynamics 365 Finance

The video demonstrates defining and using the allocation terms in Dynamics 365 Finance. The allocation terms or rules are used to distribute the expenses or revenues into multiple ledger accounts i.e. Main accounts and financial dimensions. When a voucher is posted the system looks for the filter criteria in allocation rules, and if it matches, it executes the target selection of the main account and financial dimensions to distribute the value. The distribution in allocation rules as a sum can be up to 100 per cent in total. However, when partial rules are created the remaining value will be retained in the original ledger account.
