I made a visit to Elliniko Refugee Camp in athens on 13th April. After a short period of filming I was kindly asked to turn off my camera, which is understandable. Refugees might consider filming as a risk for them. And im sorry.
However, there is mounting concern over the conditions at the refugee center at Athens old airport in Elliniko. Thousands of people are living in cramped and dangerous situations, according to the head of the real estate company managing the Elliniko site. And I wanted to show to the world those unhuman conditions.
