Apple just dropped a huge AI bomb, saying there's ZERO evidence that LLM's show any signs of logical reasoning, and rather replicate reasoning steps learned in its training data through pattern recognition.
By creating a new testing benchmark called GSM Symbolic, the research paper showed that by simply changing names, numbers, or adding irrelevant information, performance could drop as much as 19%.
