Stone Town Zanzibar | Walking Tour in Tanzania | Africa Travel Vlog

Taking a tour around Stone Town which is located on the island of Zanzibar. Zanzibar is a united country that is apart of Tanzania. The whole country of Zanzibar is Beautiful. It gave me a great feeling of being there.

The magical Turquoise blue waters and the white sand beaches and palm trees make the place stand out over other places that I've been.

While in stone town I met up with a tour guide while getting off the ship. His name is Muhammad. He agreed to show me around the city before I made my way north of the Island to go to the World-class beaches.

Part of the tour included a Spice Tour and a Fishmarket tour. We also went to the Old Slave auction which is now a church and underneath the area, there is a dungeon where they use to keep slaves that were going to be auctioned off.

I went down there and it was hot and short. The slaves were kept shackled and the only light they received was from these little 3 windows. There was no air ventilation besides those windows.

We then went to the See Stone town's oldest door. The buildings have an Indian and Arabic influence. These style doors influence came from places like India where they used this style to protect them against charging elephants.

We also went to a guy named Freddy Mercury museum. He was originally from Zanzibar. I never heard of the guy but after he named the song I do remember hearing a couple of his songs. One of the popular We Are the Champions and We will Rock you. They may be under his new name Queen.
