We traveled 370km outside of Cairo to the Bahariya Oasis for an camping adventure in the White Desert we will never forget. The Oasis is a 2000 square mile depression in Egypts Western Desert. We arrived by bus and met our Bedouin guide at a small hotel that set up our weekend adventure. After a huge lunch we headed out in a 4X4 with everything we needed. Our guide took us to see the Black Desert, formed by a volcano 90 billion years ago, then Crystal Mountain and both a hot spring and a cold spring before heading to the highlight of the trip, the White Desert. The landscape of the White desert was surreal and like nothing we had ever seen before. The highlight of the trip was spending the night in tent under the stars. Our guide was amazing, cooking for us and taking us to all kinds of amazing viewpoints. He taught us all about living in the desert and on the way back the following morning he even pulled out a sand board and let us sand surf on some huge dunes.

We are Frank & Alyssa. The Globe Hoppers! We have been traveling the world part time for 6 years and have decided it was time share our adventures with the world. After the last year of working as nurses in the states we decided it was time to dust off our passports and hit the road again. We choose Egypt as our first destination on this trip and spent a month traveling around getting footage we hoped to turn into fun videos. From Egypt we made a quick stop back in the states before heading to quarantine in Thailand where we are currently trying to learn how to edit videos.
