Understanding Shape - The Basics

Shape is something that is very important while often being misunderstood or not focused on properly. In this series I want to focus on getting you to understand shape and how to properly see and use it in your games.
Shape requires at least 2 or more stones. A single stone cannot be considered to have shape. There are 3 criteria that determine if a shape is good or bad.
1. Strong Connection (Doesn't have to be solid, just has to be hard to fight)
2. Many Liberties (Most important for running fights)
3. Eye Potential (Doesn't need eyes directly, just the ability to make them)
There are 6 different moves that serve as the building blocks of shape each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The nobi, kosumi, one-point jump, two-point jump, knights move, and large knights move.
