Locarno, in south Switzerland, is an Italian-speaking resort city on the side of the Lake Maggiore.
It is nested between the beautiful lake and the base of the Alps mountain, offering an amazing view of the city along with the beautiful houses on the hill.
Let's have a walking tour around its beautiful lake and exploring its main landmark, namely Santuario della Madonna del Sasso, an 15th-century art-filled pilgrimage site overlooking the city, that can be reached by funicular railway.
