Group Shot Composite using MagMod MagSnoot

I created this video to make good on an Instagram promise that if enough people showed interest in how to go about creating a group shot composite, I would go ahead and make a video about my process. Well...like it or not...here it is! I don't claim to be a master, this is just what works for me. So feel free to follow along as I set up a demonstration on how I approach creating these types of images. There are many scenario's where this technique could come in handy. You can choose to use it out of necessity or just for fun. In this case, with my studio serving as a bit of an "unpleasing" photography backdrop, I wanted to eliminate the distractions and focus on my subjects. The best tool in my kit to make this happen is the MagSnoot by MagMod. The MagSnoot has 4 different stages, each creating a unique beam pattern which allows you to be extremely precise with your light.

MagMod makes some pretty awesome products so definitely check them out if you haven't done so yet. As a wedding photographer who loves to use OCF, having their modifiers at my disposal throughout the course of a wedding day is essential.
