Join me on a grand adventure into the breathtaking beauty of the high desert in western Colorado! This is inside the Dominguez-Escalante wilderness area and the round-trip distance was approximately 13 miles. In this video I film one of my absolute favorite places to be! The petroglyphs in this hike are so important to understanding each other and our past. Please don't touch or even breathe heavily near them. I know it sounds ridiculous, but they degrade surprisingly easily. The rock shelters we see appear to be quite ancient, however I am no expert. Multiple times during this hike you find yourself in awe at the size of the rock formations that appear to crumble away from the very foundations they are secured to. If you find yourself in the area, make sure to bring water and electrolytes (mandatory in the summer) and a small snack. You will end up spending more time than you expect here due to the many beautiful structures and oddities. I was here for about 7 hours and wanted nothing more than to stay for a couple hours longer, if it weren't for the daylight. Make sure that your settings are cranked up for 4k stuff! #hiking
