Airspeed Indicators are one of the primary flight instruments on an aircraft. Without them you would have no idea of the speed you are flying in comparison to to the air surrounding the plane. But how exactly do airspeed indicators measure the speed?
In the first episode of this short series on airspeed, we are going to be taking a look behind the scenes of air speed indicators. Learning how they measure the total and static pressure, we'll take a look at how they convert the change in to a readable format on the instrument.
