I (23f) lost my parents in a car accident when I was eight years old, and after that, I was raised by my adoptive parents, who happened to be friends of my parents before they passed away. I also had an older sister who was two years older than me, who I have not been in touch with for the past 15 years, ever since we got adopted by different families. My parents had been driving home from the movies at night and my sister and I were at home with the babysitter, but unfortunately, they were never able to make it back home alive. They collided with a truck, whose driver was driving drunk, and that was the end. They were not able to survive that and soon enough, my sister and I had been separated.
