Sak Yant is a tradition with ancient roots in Southeast Asia. “Sak” means “tattoo,” and “Yant” means yantra. This mystical diagrams, found throughout Dharmic religions, draw inspiration from Buddhist, Brahman, and animist imagery, and incorporate sacred geometry and magical incantations (kata) written in the Khmer version of Pali Sanskrit known as Khom.
In this video, I receive a Yant Sangwan from the great Arjan Nit Kanphai. Sangwan translates as " a kind of necklace" and it is said to grant strength and protection.
The experience is hard to put into words. An intense immersion into the Buddhist concept of Anicca- Impermanence. Each jab inflicting pain, pleasure, serenity, anxiety....
Upon receiving the blessing from Arjan an intense current of energy flooding my bodymind. Fear, respect, wonder.....and deep love.
Deep respect to the Masters who keep the lineage and tradition alive.
There is no Father without the Grandfather.
