Admit it, doing penalty turns during races can be annoying - so it is definitely an important skill to master! The (Seven-Twenty) 720 is a manouvre that really tests good co-ordination and understanding of the three controls (body, mainsheet and rudder) and can improve your overall boat handling while sailing the optimist. In this video, I break down the basic steps of the 720 for a downwind situation.
