At first glance, this looks like just another set of Super Mario figures.

That’s almost why I skipped it.

But once I realized what it actually was, it made a lot more sense. This is the Super Mario Airship Deck figure set from Jakks Pacific, and these figures aren’t meant to stand alone. They’re designed specifically to go with the Airship Deck playset.

In this video, I go through everything included in the box and break down each figure individually. I look at sculpt, paint, articulation, and how these figures compare to standard Jakks Mario releases in both the 2-inch and larger scales. I also show how they display together and how well they actually work as part of the airship setup.

The standout for me is Mecha Koopa, which has a surprising amount of articulation for such a small figure, including moving jaw, head, and feet. Bob-omb is solid for what it is, and the checkpoint flag is a great inclusion that feels pulled directly from the games.

I also talk honestly about the play features, including my biggest issue with the set: the red warp pipe elevator. It’s clearly meant to elevate Mario, but in practice, it doesn’t work as well as it should. A simple design change could have fixed it immediately, and I show exactly what I mean in the video.

This isn’t a hype video or a value speculation video. It’s just a straightforward look at what this figure set actually is, who it’s for, and whether it makes sense if you already collect Jakks Mario figures or you’re just starting to get into them.
