Derann Film Services was founded in 1964 by Derek Simmons and his wife Anne and became in the 1970th one of the most important distributors of Super 8 film prints in the UK, and in the mid-1980th the global leader of film prints on Super 8. Ged Jones joined the company in 1975 until its closure in 2011. In this interview he tells us of the increasing difficulties of producing film prints on Super 8 to the point where it simply became impossible... and led to the closure of Derann in 2011.
