June BCB Lunch & Learn
Speaker and Program: Dr Justin Kaiser, clinical associate professor with the Visual Impairment Program at UK, will share information about a new project he is interested in bringing to BCB. He and his team are working to develop a core strengthening program for better orientation and mobility skills, such as chair or floor yoga or tai chi programs, that are modified to meet the needs of people with blindness or vision impairment. He is hoping to start the project this fall, and is looking for feedback on what types of activities would be of most interest and benefit the most people. He is also considering bringing back the O & M clinics and will talk more about these and find out from us what would be most suitable to our community. Lunch will be chicken salad with lettuce on whole wheat from Critchfield along with chips, cookie, and a drink.
Registration: Please register by Tuesday, June 18 if you will be attending, and no later than noon on Monday, June 24, by calling 859-259-1834 or emailing [email protected]. Wheels passes are available for those who use Wheels to attend the meeting.

Special note: I believe we finally have the network issues resolved though we could've done a better job on presentation with this. Please accept my apologies but at least the videos Is smooth now.
