The Alton Towers monorail had stopped just before the entrance plaza on Wednesday 16th August. National Rollercoaster Day! The staff calmly and safely got us off and we walked along the platform between the tracks and safely climbed down some stairs. A member of staff then took our email address and will give us something like a fast pass or free entry to the resort
