I had double eyelid surgery. It's been a month since the procedure and my eyes are still swollen, as you can see. The doctor said they'll be completely healed in three months. So for now, I'm trying to eat food that won't cause me allergies; that's when I realized we're in berry season.

Welcome to Gin Pai Thai Rang.
0:00:05
Hi everybody!
0:00:07
Hello everybody!
0:00:10
I'm thirsty.
0:00:16
This right now is my favorite season.
0:00:22
I went back to Thailand in durian season.
0:00:25
And when I came back, it's cherry and strawberry season.
0:00:29
Actually, we can find cherries and strawberries in stores all year round.
0:00:34
Cherries taste the best during this month.
0:00:40
The taste and smell are the best this month.
0:00:42
Too much talking.
0:00:45
Let's eat!
0:00:48
Let me explain something.
0:00:56
I get it!
0:01:01
Now I understand how Danes feel.
0:01:08
Strawberries smell good and taste sweet.
0:01:18
It's so plump and firm.
0:01:22
It's red everywhere.
0:01:33
Thai strawberries are so plain.
0:01:37
Japanese strawberries are the best,
0:01:40
altough I haven't tried them yet.
0:01:52
Can't you believed that? This durian is calling me.
0:01:58
While I talk to you,
0:02:01
I eat strawberries but
0:02:04
the durian smell hits me in the face.
0:02:08
I can't focus.
0:02:15
I'm not acting out.
0:02:17
They are THAT good-- Moist and sweet.
0:02:31
I forgot to mention their prices.
0:02:35
Cherries are 250 baht per kilo, or 50 kroner.
0:02:39
1 krone is 5 baht.
0:02:41
These strawberries are... 50 kroner per kilo.
0:02:46
I only bought half a kilo.
0:02:55
Durian is 250 kroner per kilo.
0:03:02
50 kroner.
0:03:03
50 kroner.
0:03:05
250 kroner.
0:03:09
It doesn't matter.
0:03:10
Let's taste the durian.
0:03:13
I apologize, cherries and strawberries.
0:03:18
I'll be back.
0:03:21
I've been waiting for this.
0:03:25
This piece of durian weighs half a kilogram.
0:03:28
I bought them as a pack.
0:03:31
I eat durian from... Thailaaaand!
0:03:38
Oishii!
0:03:43
I can't stop saying that.
0:03:52
The pulp is a little bit soft but sweet.
0:03:55
It smells good and sweet.
0:04:02
My husband doesn't eat it.
0:04:03
He tasted it before.
0:04:05
He wants the pulp to be firmer than this.
0:04:07
Foreigners like a firm pulp and no strong smell.
0:04:17
It has a flat seed.
0:04:19
The durian seed is very flat.
0:04:34
Sweet... sweet and tender.
0:04:45
I hope the mailman doesn't come here soon...
0:04:50
because my house reeks of durian.
0:04:56
I'd like to thank whoever exported this Thai durian.
0:05:02
You're the best!
0:05:04
You're bringing the best grade of durian to Denmark.
0:05:09
I'm ready to pay for the best durian.
0:05:13
That's because... I love it!
0:05:19
It doesn't feel like a waste of money.
0:05:22
The seed's so small and flat.
0:05:23
Delicious.
0:05:29
If the pulp is too mushy, I'll take a flight to Thailand and personally complain to the exporter.
0:05:38
I'm joking.
0:05:48
I can taste a bit of each fruit.
0:05:50
I almost ate the entire durian.
0:05:54
I can't keep them for too long.
0:05:57
Can you see its seed?
0:06:01
It's so tiny.
0:06:08
I want to plant the seed in my garden
0:06:10
and grow a durian tree in Denmark.
0:06:21
My treadmill is right beside me.
0:06:24
I'm looking at it while eating durian.
0:06:27
I ate durian yesterday.
0:06:30
I went for an hour walk after that.
0:06:40
Unfortunately, my husband doesn't eat it.
0:06:50
He says the smell bothers him.
0:06:53
The last durian I bought didn't smell strong.
0:06:56
Maybe because it wasn't as ripe.
0:07:10
I'll go wash my hands...
0:07:12
And come back to eat some more.
0:07:13
Don't ask me about my favorite. I can eat anything just based on the season.
0:07:30
15 more days and the cherries will be bigger than these.
0:07:35
I ate giant cherries with Camilla before.
0:07:38
These are medium size.
0:07:49
Eating cherries... but I can smell the durian.
0:07:54
It's a bit strange--- I'm so happy.
0:07:59
So... which one is the winner?
0:08:05
Thai people living in Thailand would choose strawberries and cherries.
0:08:08
But Thai people abroad would choose durian.
0:08:12
It has such a distinctive smell.
0:08:18
They're sweet, smell nice and so plump.
0:08:22
So today we reviewed some seasonal fruits.
0:08:30
I'll keep showing you more fruits soon, like
0:08:34
raspberries,
0:08:37
plums, dates,
0:08:44
wild apples and many more. I'll pick apples along the road again.
0:08:50
Something like that. See you later! Be blessed with wealth. Bye!
