This TouchDesigner tutorial looks at the extrude POP and how to drive its distance attribute using 2D textures and the Noise POP. It also touches on PBR and HDRI lighting workflows.

This tutorial uses build 2025.30770 but fair warning that things will likely change between now and the official release! My hope is that the methodology can easily be recreated in the official release, but there may be differences if you’re watching in the far future.
