In the Liberty Townsite just by Cle Elum, WA we found an old rusty Excavator in a field. The doors on it made an awesome creaking/groaning sound.
I was also able to capture some distant gunfire sounds while I was there.
I used a pair of LOM Usi Pro's going into a Mix Pre 6 v2. These sounds were cleaned with some noise reduction to remove wind and distant vehicle sounds.
