Independence Day is celebrated on 15 August and it is declared a National Holiday in India. This year India is celebrating its 75th Independence anniversary, on this day India attained Independence from the British Empire by following nonviolent and civil disobedience movements.

This year, India is celebrating 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' on 15 August and arrangements across the country are underway to celebrate the historic day. This day is not only known for its freedom, but it's also a reminder to the citizens of the many freedom fighters who fought to liberate the country.
