Elk River Blues is by West Virginia Folk Fiddler Ernie Carpenter, in lament to his homestead being flooded (completely immersed) when the Sutton Dam was built on the Elk River. I play it with Iona Sound, a folk trio, and just love the melody and its unusual timing. This performance is recorded live at Dave McCune's Ventry Studio, Balbriggan, Dublin.
Piano Therapy is a YouTube channel experiment: Each week I upload new piano performances and other piano-led video content, aiming for a meditative, soothing, therapeutic feel. I plan to provide some educational content at some point.
