Ep-5 NASHIK TO SAPTASHRUNGI | Vani Saptashrungi Mata Gad Nashik | सप्तश्रृंगी Ropeway |

In our Maharashtra temple series, we have reached Saptashrungi Dham, also known as Saptashrungi Mata Mandir or Saptashrungi Devi Temple. This is a revered Hindu pilgrimage site dedicated to the goddess Saptashrungi, located in Nashik, Maharashtra. It's renowned for its location atop a hill with seven peaks and is considered one of the "three and a half Shakti Peethas" in Maharashtra.
Goddess is worshipped here as Mahisasur Mardini form. After killing demon Mahisasur, Goddess created by joint power of all male Gods is said to have rested at this place with seven hill that’s why it is called Vani Saptashrungi Devi Temple.
Nashik to Saptashrungi temple= 65 km
Goddess idol is shown with 18 hands and each hand of the goddess is holding one weapon.
We visited following places:
a) Shivalya Kund
b) Shri Siddheshwar Mahadev Mandir
c) Markandey Parvat
There is a mountain right opposite temple’s hill which is said to be Markandey’s Parvat dedicated to sage Markandey. It is said that Markandey rishi used to chant holy Vedas and worship Goddess glory and Goddess would listen to him keenly that’s why her idol is tilted to one side with her one hand resting on her ear.
Maharashtra is home to three and a half Shakti Peeths, which are sacred temples dedicated to the Goddess Shakti. A) Tulja Bhavani Temple in Tuljapur B) Ambabai (Mahalakshmi) Temple in Kolhapur C) Renuka Temple in Mahur D) Saptashrungi (Vani) Temple, considered the half Shakti Peeth

Food:
We ate food at Annakshetra opposite Bhaktniwas office of Saptashrungi.
Food is available from 11:00 am.
Thali price is of two types: a) Rs. 20/- thali b) Rs. 60/- thali price.

Temple opens: 5:30 AM
Temple closes: 8:30 pm
