Today, we are honored to have with us Er. Mahesh Subedi, a highly respected name in Nepal’s construction and infrastructure sector.

Er. Subedi is currently serving as a Project Manager at Kalika Construction Pvt. Ltd., where he leads the Kaligandaki Corridor Project — one of Nepal’s most significant strategic highway developments. This project plays a crucial role in connecting Nepal’s diverse regions and enhancing trade, mobility, and accessibility across the nation.

With a strong foundation in civil engineering and years of field experience, Er. Subedi has built his career around hands-on project execution, team leadership, and engineering problem-solving. Unlike many who prefer the comfort of offices and consulting roles, he chose the challenging path of contracting — where every decision, every structure, and every design detail is tested by the realities of the site.

Throughout his career, Er. Subedi has been involved in numerous road construction and infrastructure projects, often in some of the toughest terrains of Nepal. His ability to manage large-scale operations — balancing time, cost, and quality — has earned him a reputation as a dependable leader in the field.

Beyond the technical aspects, he is deeply passionate about mentoring young engineers and reshaping perceptions about contracting. He believes that ‘real engineers’ are made in the field, through exposure to real challenges, problem-solving under pressure, and learning from ground realities that no textbook can teach.

Today, we’ll hear about his journey — from his early days in engineering, to managing major national projects, to his philosophy on why working in contracting builds the most complete and capable engineers.


About Host:
Er. Rajkumar Adhikari is a professional Civil engineer with an MBA degree. He has worked in different manufacturing companies like Shivam Cement, Ambe Steels, Siddhartha Cement & CG Cement as a Technical Project Sales Manager and as a Project Manager in the construction industry. He has diverse work experience in the construction industry, from the construction material manufacturing industry to the use of those materials.

Currently, Er. Adhikari works as an authorized valuer of different commercial & development banks in Nepal.
