Here is a breakdown of what to expect when you hit the highway in a Santro Xing:
👉1. Engine Performance & Speed
• Cruising Range: The 1.1L eRLX engine is most comfortable cruising between 80–100 km/h. While it can technically touch 120–140 km/h, the engine becomes quite vocal (noisy) at these speeds, and the car starts to feel strained.
• Overtaking: The engine has decent low-end torque, which is great for city zipping, but on the highway, you'll likely need to downshift to 4th or even 3rd gear to safely overtake long trucks or faster vehicles.
• A/C Impact: Turning on the air conditioning notably saps power. If you’re climbing a flyover or attempting a quick pass, you might feel the engine struggle slightly until the A/C compressor cycles off.
