Botamochi (ぼたもち) or Ohagi (おはぎ) is a Japanese sweet rice ball wrapped in red bean paste. Although most wagashi or traditional Japanese sweets can be complicated, this Japanese mochi recipe is easily prepared using mochi rice and anko, or sweet red bean paste. Learn how to make botamochi and celebrate the spring and autumn Ohigan holidays.
