Riding the Triumph Bonneville T120 to Magpie Mine.

It was the first warm day of the year so I hopped on board my trusty Triumph Bonneville T120 for a ride out to visit Magpie Mine in the Peak District. The roads leading to and around the mine are a motorcyclists dream, so it makes a good destination for a days ride.

People have been mining this area since at least the 1700's, but the current ruins on the site all date from the 19th Century and provide a great place to stop for a few moments while exploring the Peak District. It's a quiet site, infrequently visited and free, plus it's only a short walk away from the roadside where there's a small area to park.

If you're riding in the area and are looking for a place to visit, I'd very much recommend checking it out.
