DYSYNNI RIVER KAYAK

This video is of my 13 miles kayak on Dysynni River in North West Wales on the 19 May 2025.

I used an Aquatec Ottawa drop stitch inflatable kayak on this trip.

This voyage was part of my undertaking to paddle every Welsh river which can be kayaked. I do not do White water again so mind taking is limited to sections of those rivers which consist of flat water paddling, including tidal rivers and estuaries.

This was a circular route from Tonfanau Bridge near the mouth of the river.

You need to keep tight to the North bank as you paddle round the Broadwater lagoon because most of the lagoon consists of very shallow water and sandbanks.

The scenery was absolutely stunning and this was soon becoming one of the best and most scenic river trips that I had done.

I used my Hiqmar e-fin kayak motor for about 80 to 85% of the trip and am really enjoying using it. The motor has helped me to do longer trips since it keeps you moving along even when you are not paddling, though I do paddle most of the time anyhow (other than when I'm filming, landing/launching the drone, eating/drinking, etc).
