Linking Verbs and Action Verbs!
An action verb (also called a dynamic verb) describes the action that the subject of the sentence performs.
A linking verb links (connects) the subject of the sentence to information about that subject.
Linking verbs do not describe action.
Primary linking verbs include the verbs “am ,is, are, was, were ,been, be” “become,” “seem,” “appear,” “remain,” “feel,” “look,” “smell,” “sound,” “taste,” “stay,” “grow, and “turn,”
