Over a 3 week period from July to August, we filmed many KiwiRail Freight and Passenger workings between Drury and Ngaruawahia.
We start off with train MR1 starting to climb the Karaka Bank as the sun had started to rise, before we move to Mercer where we see multiple trains in thick fog. On this day we ended up as far south as Ngaruawahia. We then spend a morning in Tuakau seeing a very long train 225S including 12 welded rail wagons and the ballast cleaner.
We end off the video with some very wet shots of the Mission Bush coal trains around Pukekohe.
